About Me
A. TONY REID

AND MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER
Tony Reid, president and founder of Tony Reid Fitness Management Company, has been inspiring people to take charge of their lives for over 15 years with his unique style of motivational speaking and fitness training. Tony believes that the key to helping people change their lives is combining fitness training, nutritional coaching, time management and motivation. Tony can proudly say that over the years he has helped thousands of people realize their fitness, career and lifestyle dreams.
Tony was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a product of the Baltimore City Public School system. He has an AA degree in Marketing from Baltimore City Community College and is also a graduate of the University of Baltimore, where he obtained his bachelors degree in Marketing. In 1997 he became certified as a personal fitness trainer and formed Tonisis Body Works Personal Training. He has continued to grow his skills through a number of seminars, workshops and training programs in fitness and personal motivation.
Prior to forming Tony Reid Fitness Management, in 1992 Tony founded a company called Positive Influence, Inc., a Baltimore-Washington area training and consulting firm, specializing in motivational seminars, leadership development and career path training.
Tonys corporate clientele has included Century 21 Home Specialist, MCI Communication, University of Baltimore, AM Communications, North Star Book Store, Baltimore city and county schools, Fine Points Management, The Star Program, Mt Hebron Baptist Church, Baltimore Marketing Association and the American Cancer Society.
From 1989 to 1997 he was employed at MCI in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Tony was one of the MCIs top sales people and served as a MCI Frontline Customer Service supervisor. Tony can be credited for developing a host of training programs and material, designing a daily and monthly performance tracking systems, and developing motivational programs designed to improve sales performance at MCI.
Tony can now claim over 10 years experience as a personal trainer, over 15 years as motivational speaker and life coach, and more than 20 years of experience in Sales and Customer Service Management. He can point to countless individuals that completed his programs having reached their goals. Tony enjoys the feeling of a sense of accomplishment knowing that he has designed and offers a comprehensive program that works!
Tony has been a member of Toastmaster International off and on since 1997 and is now a proud member and President of the Baltimore Sun Toastmasters Club.

I combine the personal training skills of exercise management with lifestyle coaching skills of counseling, communicating, motivating and educating in order to develop the effective dialogues that are critical to influencing more people to begin and maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle.
This is a giant leap forward for me in the fitness industry. Until now, as Certified Personal Trainer I have performed extremely well in managing exercise programs. However, it is was not enough. As a trainer you can have all the skills required to take a client through a World-Class workout, but if you are unable to influence people to become clients and remain clients, those skills are for naught! This is the biggest problem with the old training style and is precisely what is going wrong with the fitness industry today
Far too many people are not recieving enough physical activity to gain any health benefits! Nearly 70% of the population is overweight, obese or morbidly obese, resulting in an Obesity Epidemic! Which, in turn, has lead to a Diabetes Epidemic and a Cancer Epidemic! Our society is being ravaged by these epidemics.
